What Yoga is to me......................
Yoga is inner peace.
After a hard eight and a half hours at work, making dinner, assisting with homework, washing clothes, washing dishes, and getting everyone ready for the next day, Yoga is a way for me to physically and mentally cleanse my palette.
I know I can walk onto my yoga mat, smell it, feel it and absorb the peace and tranquility that will come to me as I begin my Yoga training. I know when I am finished with my training, I will once again walk into the world and know that I have done something well for myself, I have used my time and energy to reach my goal of going to Yoga class and doing the best that I can.
Even if that is the only thing of the day I am successful at, it is something. Something to be very proud of, something I worked on, something that I can constantly work on improving without ever perfecting, yet always satisfying in knowing I went, did what I came to do, and accomplished my goal at that moment in time.
Having that self sense of accomplishment gives me a joy to share with others, if not directly through speaking of yoga, then through that feeling of inner peace, I can share my joy with others.
